“Practicing law in my hometown has been an incredibly rewarding experience. For more than 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping friends, neighbors, and members of our community navigate their legal needs. I’ve been fortunate to work across a wide range of legal areas—assisting with the formation of businesses, guiding families through adoptions, and helping individuals plan for the future. I’ve also stood with clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives—after serious injuries, the loss of a loved one, or other major life changes.
Today, I lead a dedicated legal team focused on personal injury and wrongful death, while continuing to assist clients with estate planning, business formation and governance, probate matters, guardianships, and government relations.
I was born in St. Louis and raised in Jefferson County. My wife, Wendi, and I live in Cedar Hill, Missouri, with our daughters, Aliana and Parker. I graduated cum laude from Hillsboro High School in 1992 and went on to earn degrees in Criminal Justice and Computer Information Systems from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. While at MSSU, I was active in the Honors Program and served in leadership roles within my fraternity, Kappa Alpha Order.
I returned to the St. Louis area for graduate school at Saint Louis University, earning both my Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration in 2001. During law school, I held leadership roles in several student organizations and represented SLU Law at the Regional Moot Court Competition.
I joined the firm in 2000 as a law clerk and have been with the team ever since. I’m a proud member of the Jefferson County Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, Missouri Republican Attorneys for Civil Justice, and the Republican National Lawyers Association.
Outside of the office, I am deeply involved in community service. I currently serve as President of the Jefferson County Port Authority, Amy’s Wish, and Hoofprints on My Heart. On the state level, I sit on the Board of Directors for The Baptist Home and Healthcare Ministries and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and serve as Secretary of the Missouri State Republican Party. My past roles include President of the Jefferson County Republicans, member of the Jefferson County Republican Central Committee, Co-Chair of the Jefferson County Charter Commission (2008), board member of the Hillsboro R-3 Board of Education, and nearly 20 years of service on the boards of Sunnyhill, Inc., and the Northwest Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
I’ve been honored with several recognitions throughout my career, including the Volunteer Service Award from Missouri Trial Lawyers Care (2019) and the Volunteer of the Year Award from Catholic Legal Assistance Ministries (2006). I was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2008 and have since been recognized multiple times as one of Missouri’s top attorneys by Super Lawyers. Since 2011, I’ve been named annually to The National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100 Lawyers in Missouri, and was included in their Top 40 Under 40 in both 2011 and 2012. In 2012, I was inducted into Kappa Alpha Order’s Chiles Province Court of Honor.
My legal practice focuses on personal injury law, including wrongful death and motor vehicle accident cases, as well as probate (guardianships, conservatorships, and estate administration), estate planning, general litigation, juvenile law, corporate and business law, and government relations.”
