CAITLYN A. VANOVER – ASSOCIATE AT THURMAN LAW FIRM
Having grown up in Jefferson County, I am excited to practice in an area I call home. Jefferson County has been a community that provided so much to me, and I have been absolutely looking forward to the day I could give back to that very same community. I base my practice on building relationships; there is no me, there is we. My passion for the work I do and compassion for my clients are the very foundational pieces on which I stand.

Caitlyn Vanover grew up in the Desoto area, graduating from Desoto High School in 2014. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Criminology Minor, and an ABA approved Paralegal Certificate, magna cum laude, from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Caitlyn has a strong community and social services background and has experience in both paralegal and higher education work. She possesses excellent communication skills with experience in public speaking, negotiation, and mediation. Caitlyn is a community leader. She was selected to attend the Global Student Leadership Summit in Vienna, Austria. Her passion for others can be traced back to her pro bono work seeking clemency for wrongfully convicted, incarcerated clients through the WILLOW Project.
Following her time at Webster, Caitlyn was fortunate to clerk with a judge and other attorneys where she gleaned the knowledge, skills, and a love for the law that drove her to law school. Caitlyn went on to attend Southern Illinois University School of Law, earning her law degree and taking classes focused on Real Estate Law and Mediation.
Caitlyn resides in Jefferson County with her dog, Bella. She enjoys coaching volleyball, watching re-runs of the Carol Burnett Show, reading, and spending time with her family. Caitlyn is committed to her legal career and looks forward to working with others.
